Once you’ve installed the eTakeoff viewer, you can get a one-time 30 day free trial of the advanced features. We recommend you become familiar with the basic usage before starting your trial.

To start your free trial, start eTakeoff and select “Admin/Install Demonstration License…” from the Main Menu. The Demonstration License Installation Window will be displayed.

To obtain a demonstration license, you must provide your name, company name, phone number and email address. When you fill in these values, then press the “Get License” button, the eTakeoff viewer communicates with the eTakeoff web site via the internet. The web site registers your information and returns a demonstration license code specifically for your computer. The eTakeoff staff will probably contact you within a few days to see how the demonstration is going.

The demonstration licensing process may fail for the following reasons:

  • You are not connected to the Internet
  • A demonstration license has already been issued for your computer

Note: If significant time has passed since you installed the eTakeoff software, you may want to upgrade to the latest version. To do that, go to the download page and select “Upgrade my Existing eTakeoff”.
